English Teacher (Lower and Upper School)

Status: Full-Time

The English Teacher for the Lower and Upper School is responsible for planning, developing, and teaching a comprehensive English Language Arts curriculum that aligns with departmental and school-wide objectives across various grade levels. The ideal candidate will evaluate student progress, provide regular feedback, and be skilled in differentiating instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. This role requires the ability to build a positive, supportive, and respectful classroom environment where students are both held to high academic standards and encouraged to meet their full potential in reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking. Additionally, all teachers are expected to contribute actively to the school community beyond their classroom duties, including participation in extracurricular activities and commitment to ongoing professional development.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's Degree in English, Education, or a closely related field.

- Valid teaching certification or recognized qualification for teaching English/English Language Arts.

- Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for English education and literature.

- Highly organized, reliable, and collaborative with colleagues, students, and parents.

- Proficient in G-Suite and familiar with student information/learning management systems.

- Experience teaching students across a wide age range is a plus.
