The Project Manager shall direct and manage all the activities of a multi-discipline team to accomplish the required engineering, procurement, inspection, testing, construction and commissioning of all of the facilities and construction projects included in the annual budget for new or replacement facilities required for the production of oil and gas in various places in Venezuela.

The main requirements are to ensure that the new facilities are properly engineered and constructed so as to be fit for purpose in the conditions in which they will operate.

Major responsibilities shall include preparing and controlling schedule and budget, ensuring safety of design and work practices, coordinating with peer managers and other staff on technical matters and concerns, and ensuring compliance with Company policies with regard to purchasing, contracting, service orders, risk analysis, documenting "fit for purpose" facilities, and other areas.

 Responsibilities:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering plus 5 years experience in oil and gas projects.

Candidate shall have previously held the position of Project Engineer for a minimum of 5 years and shall have worked on at least two major construction projects involving the production and processing of hydrocarbons. Candidate shall have previous experience as a Project Manager on at least one large project.

Demonstrated commitment to safety, including safety considerations in engineering design, recommendations, and implementation, including extensive knowledge of HAZOP, MOC and other PSM procedures.

Demonstrated ability to work within multidiscipline team environment.

Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing to a wide range of audiences within the business unit, including contractors.

Experience in use of formal project management processes and related scheduling software such as MS Project.

Ability to make technically and economically sound recommendations with
incomplete information and within the time deadline required.

Proficiency in hydraulic analysis, equipment sizing/design, and system design.

Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite software.

Proficiency in or ability to use applicable technical and economic analysis software.

Working knowledge of the following in context of upstream oil and gas operations:
a. OSHA Process Safety Management elements and typical safety program requirements
b. ASME industry codes and standards
c. Typical rotating and stationary equipment
d. Typical materials of construction
e. Process control elements and systems

 Qualifications:

Experience in the international arena of oil and gas production

Sensitive to cultural differences in nationalities

Working knowledge of reliability engineering principles and life cycle cost analysis

Working knowledge of corrosion engineering principles

Working knowledge of procurement systems and contracting

Ability to represent the company's commercial and technical interests with vendors and contract staff

Working knowledge of typical onshore or offshore oil and gas construction practices

Working knowledge of onshore or offshore oil and gas operations and maintenance functions

Bi-lingual or multi-lingual is a plus (please state languages and proficiency level)

Experience with steam flooding and/or CO2 flooding operations
